Board of Elders

Responsibilities: The basic objectives of this Board is the spiritual welfare of the Pastors, Ministerial Staff, Congregational members (individually and corporately), and the supervision of matters pertaining to Congregational worship.

Meetings: Fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p m. in the Multipurpose Room.

Board of Christian Education

(Day School)

Responsibilities: The basic objectives of this board are to plan, direct, supervise and administer total educational programs of Zion Lutheran School, to determine policies, to select personnel, for the various agencies, to provide the necessary means and facilities for the agencies, and to direct and supervise the entire educational program of the school. 

Meetings: Second Monday  at 7 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room.

Board of Mission

Responsibilities: The basic objective of this board is to encourage members to spread the Good News about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Walburg, Williamson County and the World.

Meetings: Second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room.

Board of Parish Education

Responsibilities: The basic objectives of this board are to plan and administer the parish education program of the congregation, to determine policies, to select personnel, for the various programs, to provide the necessary means, and to direct and supervise the entire Christian educational ministry of this congregation.

Meetings: First Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room

Board of Stewardship

Responsibilities: The basic objectives of this board are to minister to human needs of our congregational members, as well as to the community in a spirit of Christian love and concern, to initiate programs for the development of good stewardship attitudes in the members of the congregation in regard to time, talents, and spiritual gifts and to provide the training and utilization of members of the congregation for the work of Christ’s Kingdom, and for the integration of new members into the life of the congregation.

Additionally, this board shall encourage the development of good management attitudes in the members of the congregation regarding treasures with the goal of dedicated, proportionate "first fruits" giving.

Meetings: Second Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room.  (Not July)

Board of Trustees

Responsibilities: The basic objectives of the board are the proper maintenance and repair of the congregational property, the representation of the congregation in all legal matters and the general protection of the congregation against loss or damage of whatever nature. 

Meetings: Last Saturday of the month at 8:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Altar Guild

Responsibilities:  The Guild members, as disciples of Christ, commit themselves to serve the congregation by providing an environment conducive to worshiping our Lord ad Savior. Efforts are focused on maintaining an altar area in keeping with decorum as set by the LCMS, as they prepare and lay out sacramental vessels for the celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Meetings: Four times a year. Check the monthly newsletter calendar for date and time.
