Zion Lutheran
School History

Zion Lutheran Church was built in 1882 by people of German-Wendish descent who migrated to the area from present day Serbin, Texas.  Because a school was of primary importance to these early settlers, Zion Lutheran School was soon established.

Rev. J. H. Sieck arrived at Zion in 1890 and served as Pastor and sole educator until 1906.  Under the leadership of many devoted pastors and teachers Zion Lutheran School has flourished.  Current enrollment is 184.

Though Zion Lutheran School has experienced many changes over the years it's purpose of providing an academically sound Christian education remains the same.
