Zion Mission & Vision
Our Mission: 
What does this mean?
We are committed to creating Christ-centered ministries around a process that CONNECTS people to God and others, that GROWS people in faith and knowledge of God and His Word, and SERVES others in the name of Jesus Christ.
We believe that people who experience the love of God in Christ Jesus will be profoundly changed, to the extent that they will change their world. We believe that committing to a process of CONNECT – GROW – SERVE will enable us to glorify God, to mature as Christians, and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with His world. We will accomplish this vision as our people and ministries align with this process.
Our Commitments
CONNECT: My commitment to Connect with God in my personal life, and to Connect with God and His people in corporate worship and prayer: I will live a lifestyle of Connect in my personal life by spending time with God in prayer and daily devotions. I will join with other believers by worshiping God with heart, soul, strength, and mind every week at Zion Lutheran.
GROW: My commitment to Grow with other Christians by spending time in God's Word: I will live a lifestyle of Grow as I learn to love God and His Word more with the people He has placed in my life. I commit to growing in my personal life, family, and friendships. I will join with members of my congregation in regular Bible class participation at Zion Lutheran.
SERVE: My commitment to Serve within Zion Lutheran and in God's world by using my gifts and talents for God and others: I will live a lifestyle of Serve by prayerfully seeking opportunities to serve wherever my spiritual gifts can be used in the furtherance of God's kingdom at home, at church, in my community, and in the world. It is my desire to bring to Jesus those who have not discovered the joy of a relationship with Him. I will join with other believers in serving in ministry at Zion Lutheran and serving God by what I do outside in the community. I can even go into other places and countries as I support missions or take a mission trip myself. In all of life's endeavors, I will strive to use the spiritual gifts and passions that God has given me to bring honor and glory solely to Him.
When individual disciples are growing in their lives as followers of Jesus in this way, our Vision becomes even clearer. We begin to see the future happen in the present.
Our Core Values
Biblical, Grace Oriented Teaching - Bible-centered preaching and teaching which changes lives is at the heart of our ministry.
Courageous Faith - We are a bold church, praying and trusting God to lead us as we try new ways and structures to accomplish God's mission.
Empowering Servant Leadership - Our pastors, staff and volunteer lay leaders are empowering servant-leaders who equip and release people to use all their gifts, abilities and resources in God's service.
Family Oriented - Children, youth and their families are prized and cherished here.
Inspiring Worship - We value vibrant worship done with excellence that lifts Christ and the spirits of those who worship through Word and Sacraments.
Passionate Spirituality - God is transforming us into passionate Disciples of Christ who continually study His Word and live out faith with prayer, action and contagious enthusiasm.
Bold Prayer - We are a praying church with intentional ministries of prayer.
Shared Outreach Mindset - Lost people matter to God and us, and therefore, sharing Jesus with those who don't know Him is everyone's priority.
