This Week @ Zion
Worship Enhancement Project - Thank you to those families who have given so generously towards our goal of $86,000 for a much needed sound system upgrade in our Sanctuary. If you would like to give towards this project, please be sure to mark your gift with Worship Enhancement Project. For more information, feel free to contact our Director of Worship and Music, Marc Profant.
July-September Portals of Prayer are in the Narthex in regular and large-print editions.
April-June Sunday School offerings go to: Upbring - When a child in foster care says they have trouble making friends because they feel different from other kids, it breaks our hearts. Your generous gifts will help Upbring, the New Lutheran Social Services, provide much-needed clothes for children who often come into our care with very little. Just as important, a new pair of sneakers or a superhero shirt has the power to help a child fit in at school and feel welcomed. Shopping together for clothes also provides an opportunity for our compassionate foster families to bond with the children in their care. Thank you for showing God’s children that His people see them, value them and celebrate them. Thank you for giving them the chance to simply be children.
Zion Security Meeting – A Church Security Plan is being created for Zion. Anyone willing to participate is welcome. The initial meeting is THIS Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. If you have any questions, contact Elder Josh Wilmoth (Josh.Wilmoth@CTTSonline.com or 512-632-0177 Mobile/Text).
Trip to Texas Wendish Heritage Museum – Zion is hosting a trip to the museum Thursday, July 5, leaving from Zion in the church van at 8:30 a.m. If we have more than a van-full, then people can follow in their cars. Reserve your seat by Tuesday, June 26 by calling the Church Office (512) 863-3065. Cost is $17.50 per person and includes a tour and meal. Questions? Contact Linda LaRochelle (270) 978-2438.
UPDATE - Zion's Annual Family Camp Weekend Availability is almost FULL! Pick up a green registration sheet in the Narthex - fill it out to secure your spot. There are only 1.5 cabins left and no more individual tent sites available. However, we are making a waiting list and some families are willing to share their tent site with another family so still submit a form if you are interested. Camp dates: October 19-21 at Inks Lake State Park. Contact Shane Baylor (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more details. Registrations needed by the end of July. All meals for the weekend are included! Come and invite a new family to join you! Zion Mission Board

Look ahead to a Book-Signing!! Ryan Woelfel, son of Glenn and Patti Woelfel, has written Leukemia: From Diagnosis to Winning the Battle, an amazing book about his battle with that disease. Diagnosed just weeks before his wedding day, Ryan’s journey has taken him from very ill patient to a very healthy and credible patient-advocate. His book will be an inspiration to all. Ryan will be on Zion’s campus to sign his book Saturday, June 30 from 10am-Noon, and Sunday, July 1 before and between services. Don’t miss this chance to see God’s hand at work in the life of this talented and devoted young man. Your spirit will be lifted; this volume is great for you AND will make an encouraging gift as well. Questions? See Pastor Davenport.
