Sending Sunday May 7 - Are you ready and eager to serve in local mission opportunities? The Zion Mission Board is sponsoring a community service workday for the entire congregation. Following the worship service at 10:45 a.m. next Sunday, May 7, we will leave in groups for project sites and begin on-site mission projects at Zion. See attached handout detailing various opportunities to serve. Sign up at the bottom of the handout, detach the bottom portion, and place it in the box SUNDAY or contact the Church Office to sign-up for a project. Participating in the on-site mission projects will enable you to attend the band concert at 1:00 p.m.

From Our School - Celebration for Darlene Zinsmeyer: Please note above about celebrating Darlene’s retirement. We hope you can all participate in some way! Mini-Kitchen Use: We love it that our entire campus can be enjoyed by both church and school families. It is meant to be “multi-purpose.” We are asking that any groups that use the mini-kitchen please make sure and use the clean-up checklist that the church provides. Securing our Building: We have had several instances that the building has been unsecured upon morning arrival. Each group needs to make sure one person is in charge of totally checking each door in the building. Remember that the main entrance turn-key must be stationary and non-turning to be locked.

Alyssia Woods, Development Director for Annunciation Maternity Home in Georgetown, will be the guest speaker at the Evening Circle meeting on Monday, May 8.  She will share information on the ministry that is accomplished at the Home. A light meal will be served at 6:30 p.m., with the presentation beginning at 7:00.
