The Lutheran Doctrine and Practice Today Bible Class meets Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the Parlor. The study is based on the Holy Scripture and the Augsburg. Today we will complete Article 22 of the Sacrament of Holy Communion, and begin the topic of Good Works. The study is facilitated by Marvin Kelm.

Pre-Wurstbraten Workday this Sunday 12-3 p.m. One crew needed to clean up the front of the facility and another needed to clean the pit and smoker area. Lunch provided after 10:45 a.m. worship service. Bring: hedge trimmers. rakes, blowers, shovels, wheelbarrows, and a trailer to haul off junk and metal recycling.
This Sunday is the deadline to fill out a Building Committee Survey. Your feedback is vital to the future direction of our building project. Copies available outside the Church Office. Electronic devices are set up in the hallway next to the Narthex on Sundays to submit your survey electronically. One survey per person.
WURSTBRATEN Sign-Up Posters for Donation and Volunteer Work Schedules are available Sunday outside the front entrance to the Church. Publicity Posters are also available. Indicate “WURSTBRATEN” on any cash donation so it can be correctly counted. All Wurstbraten Committee Co-Chairs will meet at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19 in the Fellowship Hall.
Attention: Wood Cutters, meet at Jon Kasper’s place East of Walburg on 972 at 8:00 a.m. Saturday October 28 to gather wood to cook the sausage for Wurstbraten. Bring chainsaws and work gloves. Jr and Sr High students...Join us for an excursion to Nightmare on Jail Hill in downtown Georgetown, Saturday, October 21. Tickets are $5 for ages 8-12 and $15 for 13 and over. Town Hall Meeting for Elder families of Rick Andersen, Jeff Bothof, Mitch Fortune, Troy Johnson, and Fred Tscheulin, Thursday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gym. The meeting will provide an opportunity for members to ask questions relevant to events going on at the Church and School. Childcare is provided. A freewill offering meal will be served at 6:00 p.m. in the Lunchroom. In addition to the specified Elder families invited, anyone may attend. RSVP for the meal and childcare to your Elder or the Church Office.
Fall Musical Meal: The 8th Grade D.C. Trippers are offering a meal Sunday, October 29, beginning at 11:30 a.m., after the Bluegrass Worship Service. Menu: pulled pork sandwiches, beans, coleslaw, mac and cheese, dessert, and a drink. Adult meals $10, Child meals $5 (12 and under). Join us after lunch for “The Big Bad Musical”, the Middle School's Fall Musical. Quake Registration is now OPEN for 6th-8th Graders. Quake is a weekend conference for youth that includes nightly worship services, speakers, praise bands, games, breakout sessions, crazy dress night contest, prayer room, Talent show, fellowship and FUN! The conference is February 23-25, 2018 at the Doubletree Hotel San Antonio Airport. Total cost=$160 plus food/souvenir money. Sign up and remit your $50 non-refundable deposit to DCE Guy Seter.
