Kenya (May 30-June 9, 2018)

Mission:  Gospel Outreach & Malaria Medical (w/ eyeglass distribution)

Description: Missionaries from Zion, in partnership with Salem Lutheran in Tomball, travel to Kuria County in southeastern Kenya to conduct home evangelism visits. Mosquito nets and reading glasses are also distributed. The team connects with the local pastors in Kenya along with community health workers to help eradicate the cases of malaria that cause so many deaths throughout the region annually. Zion has also established a great relationship with the Good Samaritan Children’s Orphanage – a Jesus centered orphanage making a monumental impact in nearby Migori county – thus multiple visits to the orphanage are made on each trip.  There is no direct medical knowledge/expertise needed for this trip, as that support is given by the local leaders on the ground in Kenya.
