It is with great pleasure that the Parent Teacher League (PTL) board welcomes your family for the 2007-2008 school year! We are honored to serve as your PTL officers for this, the 125th Anniversary year, of Zion Lutheran Church and School.
This year's PTL theme incorporates the words, "Bearing fruit" into Zion's 125th Anniversary theme. We believe "Planted Firmly, Growing Strong, Bearing Fruit" acknowledges the many blessings God has bestowed upon Zion over the years.
Early settlers understood the importance of firmly establishing solid family values and today those same values are woven into the fabric of Zion's events and activities. The end of year school picnic, for example, is a time-honored annual event that, after 125 years, still draws families together for an afternoon of fun and fellowship. A close-knit school community is the result.
Our goals are many and our energy boundless as we strive to enhance the educational and developmental experience of our school children in the 2007-2008 school year. We look forward to another fantastic year, having faith that God will prosper us in our work to serve Him. We look forward to seeing you at:

PTL Mission Statement
The Parent Teacher League (PTL) exists to promote fellowship among parents, faculty, and staff and to facilitate effective Christian training of Zion's school children. This shall be achieved through educational, developmental, and social experiences at Zion Lutheran School.

PTL Membership
All parents, faculty & staff are members of the Zion Parent Teacher League. Active participation through service and fellowship opportunities provides a firm foundation on which to build solid, lasting relationships.

Since the Parent Teacher League began at Zion in 1965 it has been blessed with a pool of committed volunteers to carry out its mission of promoting fellowship among school families. We have benefited richly from the fruits of their labor and they will be celebrated with the addition of the "Volunteer Recognition" program.
2007-2008 Homeroom Parents
PTL Homeroom Parents are an invaluable part of Zion Lutheran School. Together with PTL, they help coordinate and communicate many of the school year activities, including class parties, Fall festival, auction projects, and the school picnic.
